How important is the rest of children and families. It is a subject that has brought us upside down since they were babies. And it is not surprising that we are concerned because, as Carmen Romero (Child and Family Psychologist) tells us, their good development, their state of mind, their good health and well-being depend on good rest.
So here are some tips to facilitate a good night’s rest:
- Follow a relaxing routine always at approximately the same time. For example: bath, massage with moisturizing cream, dinner/milk, story or song and to sleep. Following a routine helps them know when it’s time to sleep and prepare for rest.
- Maintain a calm and relaxed environment, not stressful before bed.
- Do not prolong and go to sleep early. The more tired they are, the more irritable and the worse they will fall asleep.
- Don’t skip naps. Arriving at night extra tired is not beneficial.
- Avoid screens.
