How many hours should my child sleep?

Childhood sleep is an important topic. And as we already discussed in previous posts, resting well is essential for the development of the little ones in the house. But how many hours should my child sleep?

Although every baby is different, let’s see how many hours Carmen Romero (@estimulacionparabebes) recommends that they should sleep in total, adding naps and night:

  • Babies from 0-3 months: from 14 to 17 hours a day.
  • Babies 4-11 months: 12 to 15 hours a day.
  • Babies from 1 to 2 years old: from 11 to 14 hours a day
  • Children from 3 to 5 years old: from 10 to 13 hours a day

What do you think? Does it fit with your kid? This is just a guide and should be tailored for each family based on their routines, naps, and wake up times.

A good rest is essential so that both children and adults feel better. Doesn’t it happen to you that you feel exhausted and in a bad mood when you don’t get enough and good sleep? Children are affected even more, because good rest depends on their good development, their good health and well-being.

If you have doubts or difficulties with your little one’s sleep, you can write to Carmen (@estimulacionparabebes) and benefit from her “Dulces Sueños” program.
